How to Install Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean-based CM10.1 Nightlies ROM for Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 model P3100

It’s a good news for all Galaxy Tab 2 P3100 tab users that can be flashed with the CM 10.1 Nightlies custom ROM. You will learn the  step by step tutorial to  flash this custom ROM in your Galaxy Tab 2.

If  you want to enjoy all the features and functions that the stock Android 4.2.2 JB ROM have, this custom ROM brings all the CM 10.1 Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean ROM features in your tablet.

 

Pre-requisites:

• This guide and all instructions listed here are only for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 P3100 tablet.
• Do not flash this custom ROM on any other smart-phones or tablet device, you can brick them.
• To flash this custom ROM on your tablet, you need to be rooted and you need to install a custom recovery image like CWM or TWRP Recovery.
• From the Recovery Mode, you need to do have a full Nandroid backup for your actual ROM running in your device.
•  In case, your tablet don’t  boot in the new ROM, you will be able to restore your actual ROM.
• From the tablet, Android Developer menu, you need to enable USB debugging option in order to make possible connection between your devices and your PC.
• Charge more than 65% of the available level.
• This guide is only for the Android users who have enough experience with the flashing process.
• If you’re not an advanced Android user, it is better to stop here.

Install Android 4.2.2 CM 10.1 Nightly ROM on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 P3100- How to guide

1. First, download the custom Nightly ROM from here, and save the archive without extracting content on your Computer.
2. Second, download the Google apps for CyanogenMod 10.1 from HERE.
3. Save it in your PC without to extract its content. This file will install the Google apps in your device.
4. Now connect the tablet to your computer using the USB cable
5. After the tablet was recognized by the computer Copy and Paste your downloaded files on the device’s internal SDcard.
6. Disconnect the tablet from PC when the files are completely transferred.
7. Power off your Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet.
8. After you power off the device, boot it into CWM Recovery mode. To do that, press and keep holding Volume Down and Power buttons together in the same time.
9. From the Recovery mode select ‘backup and restore’ option, now create a Nandroid backup with your current ROM.
10. After you backup your actual ROM, select ‘wipe data/ factory reset’ option and confirm your action.
11. NOTE: If your Samsung Galaxy Tab has installed already the CM 10.1 ROM then you can skip this step.
12. Now choose ‘install zip from sdcard’ and after that ‘choose zip from sdcard’.
13. Browse the CM10.1 nightly zip file and confirm its installation.
14. Now select ‘choose zip from sdcard’ once more and browse the Gapps zip file that you copied together with the custom image ROM, after you found it, confirm you want to install it.
15. After you successfully installed,  you can return to the first menu of the Recovery mode menu, and select ‘reboot system now’ on your device.
16. Now you need to wait until the Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet starts.
17. You  can enjoy of all features and functions from the Android 4.2.2 JB CM 10.1 Nightlies ROM.
