HTC One Mini Receiving Sense 6.0 UI via OTA Update in Europe

HTC Sense 6, the Taiwanese company’s latest version of the user’s interface, prepares to hit the mini version of HTC One.

Besides updating the HTC One mini UI, the new firmware build brings Extreme Power Saving Mode, alongside a new version of BlinkFeed and improvements in terms of camera capabilities.

The new features delivered when updating the HTC One Mini with Sense 6 refers to the style of the font customization, Color coded themes that ease navigation, a button that closes all recently used applications, a new gallery and camera interface, support for locating the maps in the POI(Points of interest) gallery, an improved BlinkFeed version that allows unlimited scrolling and adds intuitively new content, nearby locations recommendations, improved music app and the ability to set a timetable for Do Not Disturb mode.

Sense 6 UI needs about 500 MB for installation and will arrive on HTC One Mini devices running Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

As always the deployment of the Sense 6 update is done gradually meaning that you might not be able to download and install it right away. As soon as your HTC One Mini becomes eligible to receive the new OTA update you should receive a system message in the notification bar. Tap on the message and follow the on-screen guidance.

There might be cases when the system update notification fails to prompt users, so you might also perform a manual check by going to Settings -> About -> Software updates -> Check now.

The new Sense 6 software build is listed with number 4.09.401.3 and is started to be pushed out already to HTC One Mini users from Europe and is expected to rollout globally in the next few weeks.
