HTC One Receiving Android 4.3 OTA Update for Sprint, ATT & TMobile updates by mid-Oct, and Verizon by end of this month

HTC One receives Android 4.3

Good News for all HTC ONE devices’ owners from US, HTC has announced that the US carrier versions of the powerful HTC One device will receive Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update this month.

HTC One from Sprint started receiving the new update this week, while the HTC One devices from AT&T and also T-Mobile versions are scheduled to receive the Android 4.3 in October.

As we told you a few days ago, the HTC One developer and Canadian editions have already received the new update late last month, exactly at the end of September.

The new update has been scheduled to be pushed out on HTC ONE US Versions in the same time with the above models, but HTC says the US models was held up by certification and validation processes.

For HTC One device branded by Sprint, AT&T, and T-Mobile carriers, the new firmware update comes for devices from Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware. This is meaning the new version of Android will come with a lot of new features such as lock screen widgets, quick settings panel in the notification bar, numeric battery levels showed in the status bar,  numerous camera improvements,  options to configure the home button, an easy way to manage file format with Zoe clips and more. It is suitable to underline that the Verizon version of HTC has been launched with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS out of the box, and it already had many of the new features that the new Android 4.3 will offer for devices with 4.1 by default.

Those who are put of the loop might know that the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS was officially announced by Google earlier this summer together with the launch of the powerful Nexus 7 device. But it is really impressive to see that the HTC is the first manufacturer outside of Google to release the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update, as The Verge notes.

The things are not stopped here, and Google has already made an officially announce with the next version of Android, called Android 4.4 KitKat, but no words yet about its release date. Numerous rumors report that the new Android 4.4 KitKat version will be released some times in October, this month.
