Your long wait is over now. The first custom ROM based on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean platform is now available for download and install on Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE model number I9505 device, namely SlimBean Stable custom ROM. This new custom ROM comes with remarkable improvements in terms of speed and customization of Android 4.3 Firmware.

- This present SlimBean Stable ROM has been provided by an XDA Developer member named courtesy, and we want to thank him for his great work and sharing the application with us.
- All the instructions and the SlimBean stable ROM provided in tutorial work only for Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE GT-I9505 model. Knowing that, do not apply these for any other device, as you might end up damaging your device.
- Make sure that the Galaxy S4 LTE GT I9505 device is factory unlocked device.
- Ensure that the device is rooted and has a custom recovery image such as ClockworkMod (CWM) or TWRP recovery flashed on it.
- Back-up all your important data, settings and market applications stored on the smartphone and for this, you can use the suitable back-up and restore applications from Google Play Store and tools such as custom recovery image (CWM or TWRP) to prevent the data loss.
- Make sure that the device’ battery has more 85% power left otherwise an unexpected power off may take place during the installation process.
- From the next path: Settings>Developer Options (Android 4.0 or later) or Settings> Applications>Development (Android 2.3 or earlier) enable the USB Debugging Mode.
- Note: If the Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE GT-I9505 device is running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean Firmware for enabling the USB Debugging Mode follow the following steps:
- Navigate to the: Settings>About Phone.
- Next, select Build Number (from the bottom of the screen).
- Now, tap Build Number area seven times to unlock the hidden Developer Options.
- Under Settings> Developer Options select the checkbox to enable the USB Debugging Mode.
How to Install Android 4.3 Based SlimBean Stable ROM on Galaxy S4 LTE GT-I9505
- First, download the custom SlimBean Stable ROM build on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean platform from here and save it to the PC.
- Second, download the Google Apps package from here and save it in your PC.
- Now, connect the S4 device to the PC via the USB cable.
- Copy the downloaded SlimBean Stable ROM and the Google Apps zip files to the root folder on the smartphone’s external SD memory card.
- Next, turn off the Android device.
- Boot it into Recovery Mode. (Press and keep holding the Volume Up and the Home buttons in the same time and press tap the Power button until a green robot icon will be displayed.
- Now, from the CWM Recovery Mode select wipe data/factory reset, and then wipe cache. After, go to “advanced” and perform wipe dalvik cache and then go to “mounts and storage” and format system
- Return in CWM recovery Mode, from there click Install Zip from SD card and browse and select the copied firmware zip file to the root directory of the phone’s SD card.
- Repeat the above step for flashing the copied Google Apps file, as well.
- Wait until the new firmware file is completely installed. Once the device is updated with the new custom ROM, select Reboot System to restart the device into the new custom ROM.
Congratulations, the new SlimBean Stable custom ROM built on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean platform is now successfully flashed on the Samsung Galaxy S4 LTEGT-I9505 device.
To verify the actual firmware version which is running on device, navigate to: Settings>About Phone.
