Sony Mobile started to distribute OTA a new firmware update designed for Xperia M devices. The latest available software for Xperia M devices was the build number 15.4.A.0.23, and now the new update is the build number15.4.A.1.9, being the second update made to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for the Xperia M handset.
The new iteration brings, according to sony mobile website, enhanced user experience, increased battery life and software performance improvements. Users of Xperia M devices will be happy to know that with the new update their devices will support now Xperia Themes. This update will be sent over-the-air to devices, and we should remind you that once your Xperia M handset is suitable for receiving a new software update you will get a system message in the notification area, you just need to tap on it, choose download and follow the on-screen instructions.
As always the update is pushed out to users in phases meaning that not all users will be able to bring up to date their devices in the same time.
If you want to check for available updates manually go to Settings -> About phone -> Software updates -> System updates.
If a software update is available for your handset, is recommended to use a stable Wi-Fi connection in order to avoid data traffic.
