Android 4.4.2 KitKat Is Now Available for AT&T Samsung Galaxy Mega Smartphones

Good news for all Samsung Galaxy Mega owners a new Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS is rolled out for their device. Starting today the new Android 4.4.2 KitKat update is rolled out for Galaxy Mega device on AT&T carrier.

The new Android OS firmware named KitKat 4.4.2 comes with new features, bug fixes, optimization and numerous improvements.

The new update comes with support for secure NFC-based transactions by using the HCE (Host Card Emulation) feature.

Now, with the new firmware the user can add printing support for their preferred applications or to develop the print services to support different and specific types of printers.

Moreover, the new update comes with a new storage access framework that makes for you to easily browse and to open images, documents, other files and more. In addition, the new OS iteration comes with multiple messaging applications, which offer the possibility to build new messaging features with fully-supported and forward-compatible APIs.

The new Android 4.4.2 KitKat update comes with Full-screen Immersive mode, System-wide settings for closed captioning from: Settings>Accessibility> Google subtitles (CC) and Samsung subtitles (CC). On the other hand the new update offers On-device memory status and profiling from Settings > Developer options > Process stats, Beat Music preloaded, ISIS Wallet pre-loaded, Default value for Air view is set as OFF, AT&T Drive Mode is changed to Drive Mode.

If the user tap 7 times on “Settings>More>About Device>Build number” the Developer options menu will be active.

The camera application can now be open directly from the Lock screen and the user can set the Location method and check the recent location requests. In addition, from the Settings> more> Security> Security update service the user can set preferred network and Automatic feature in security policy update.
