Nexus 10 Receives Android 4.4.1KitKat OTA Update: Download Now

Download Android 4.4.1 for Nexus 10 device

If you are an owner for the Nexus 10 device, then you should know that the Google has just officially released the latest Android 4.4.1 KitKat update. This new update comes after the Mountain View-based giant rolled out the same update for its Nexus 4, Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 2013 LTE devices.

The new Android 4.4.1 come as an OTA update for the Nexus 10 device, and it is now available for download. As usual, the new firmware will be rolled out in stages, and this means that now all Nexus 10 devices’ owners will be available to download and install the latest version of Android 4.4.1 update starting with today.

If you have a Nexus 10 device and didn’t receive the automatically OTA update notification yet, then you need to check for it from the Nexus 10 device ‘notification panel by following the next path: Settings > About tablet > System update > Check for updates.

Note: If the new update is not yet available then it will comes soon for your Nexus 10 device.

Alternatively, the Android 4.4.1 ZIP file for Nexus 10 tablet is available from Google’s server. You can install the same by using a manual method using adb sideload or by installing it from recovery mode.

After the new Android 4.4.1 KitKat update is installed on your Nexus 10 device the firmware build will change from KRT16S to KOT49E.

If you have a rooted Nexus 10 tablet, after you install the new firmware the root access will be removed from your device. The root rights can be gained again if you install the latest Super SU version by using the Recovery Mode application.
