Samsung rolls out Android 4.4 KitKat to Galaxy S4 Mini Duos I9192 smartphones, and Russia is the first market to get an update. However, it is not yet known when users in other markets will be receiving the Android 4.4.2 KitKat, but they should expect it soon.
Users of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Duos handset will be able to download and install the update via over-the-air, once their devices become eligible to receive it. After the installation of the new update is completed your device will be on firmware build I9192XXUCNG2, and along with it you will receive multiple UI improvements, OS enhancements, better performance and improved battery life, for you to get the best KitKat experience.
The update will move your Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Duos from the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean to Android 4.4.2 KitKat so we can conclude that this is a major update.
Galaxy S4 Mini Dual-SIM I9192 receives the official Android 4.4.2 KitKat over-the-air update a month after the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini LTE Black Edition received the KitKat software starting in mid-June. The curious thing is that, meanwhile, the Galaxy S4 Mini GT-I9190 single-SIM version has not yet received this update, but we can assume that Samsung is planning on updating it by the end of this summer.
However, if you use a Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Duos I9192 in Russia you should soon receive the Android 4.4.2 KitKat OTA Update, but as usual this update is rolling out in stages, so not all users are receiving it at once.
We recommend you that once you receive the OTA notification be sure your device’s battery is fully charged and that you are using a stable Wi-Fi connection.
Note that official Android 4.4.2 KitKat OTA update will be sent only to Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Dual-SIM I9192 devices running on stock ROMs.
If you already received the Android 4.4.2 update on your Galaxy S4 Mini Duos device feel free to tell us your opinion and the improvements that you have noticed.
