Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact

IFA 2014 is very close, and the event in Berlin is when the IT companies update their products portfolio. With a very solid presence in the market of smartphones, tablets and smart watch, we expect that Sony, the Japanese giant to announce its new devices from each category.

An image, recently published on the Facebook page of the company, includes both a smart watch model and a tablet about 8 inches diagonal.

The water in the background may be a suggestion to the water resistance of the Japanese manufacturer’s portable devices. The tablet could be Xperia Z3 Compact Compact, a device that has been the subject of many rumors in recent weeks and although it will be smaller than Xperia Z2 Tablet will keep the water and dust resistance.

Although Sony’s new devices will be officially introduced at the IFA event some details on the Xperia Tablet Z3 Compact came to the surface recently. According to androidorigin, the new Sony’s Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact will feature a Full HD IPS TRILUMINOS display with anti-reflective coating and a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

Measuring about 8 inches the tablet will run under a Snapdragon 801 chipset backed by 3GB of RAM and offering 16GB internal storage.

The Xperia Z3 Compact Tablet’s rear-facing camera is rumored to be an 8MP Sony Exmor RS sensor, and the tablet will be powered by a 4500mAh to 5000mAh battery. Also, it is expected to offer LTE connectivity option, along with support for NFC and Bluetooth 4.0.

The smartwatch from the image is likely to be the Sony SmartWatch 3.
With about a week until the IFA 2014 event, we do not have to wait long to see what specifications have the new Sony’s products.
