Galaxy Note 3

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 users from Sprint carrier should soon receive a system notification for the update to Android 4.4.4 on their device, as Samsung already listed on its support page the new version of Android for Sprint’s version of the device. It seems like the Android 4.4.4 update was expected to start to roll out on September the 5th, but only now Sprint users have confirmed that their Galaxy Note 3 devices have started to receive the Android 4.4.4 build.

The Android 4.4.4 update will bring support for international Wi-Fi calling and HD voice Icon, version 2.0 of KNOX, the Kids Mode feature first seen on the Samsung Galaxy S5, along with Google’s security patches and bug fixes.

As usual, the Android 4.4.4 OTA update for Galaxy Note 3 has gradual release cycles so it might take some days until it will show up on your Galaxy Note 3 devices. When the OTA update is ready to hit your Galaxy Note 3 device you should receive an automatic system notification, and you just need to open it and confirm the download, and once the download is completed your device will install the update automatically.

You can also look for the update under Settings -> General ->About phone ->Software updates page, and check if you can pull it manually.

Remember to use a stable Wi-Fi connection in order to download the new Android 4.4.4 firmware files without overtaking your mobile data plan, and also charge your device’s battery in order to avoid unwanted interruptions caused by lack of power.

The Android 4.4.4 update is also expected for the Galaxy S5 on Sprint in the near future, when will start to roll we will inform interested users.
