The Android 4.4 KitKat update is now available for the HTC Desire 601 in Singapore

The HTC Desire 601 is a large 4.7” qHD display phone with dual frontal speakers. The built-in camera feature allows you to creates your own photo and video highlights. Sizzling 4G data speeds, Qualcomm Snapdragon 400, 1.2 GHz, quad-core processing power, and beautiful design.
HTC Desire 601 was unveiled in September 2013, coming with Android 4.2.2 OS and the newest software update will take the device to Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

The HTC has already released the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for Desire 601 in Canada for the Rogers versions and we expect an update to hit more markets soon.

Now is the time for Sigapore since HTC Singapore has announced on the HTC official Facebook page that they started to send the software update for HTC Desire 601.
The update includes the latest version of Android 4.4.2 KitKat plus the HTC’s interface Sense 5.5 versions and it will be pushed over-the-air.
A full change-log is not available yet, but amidst the KitKat specific changes, HTC Desire 601 users can expect to get improve processing speed of the system, lock-screen tweaks, immersive mode, cloud-print support. Sense 5.5 will bring several improvements to the camera, improved gallery, options Blinkfeed, quick settings and more.

The update will be available gradually as normal, meaning that not all HTC Desire 601 will get it at once, but will reach every Desire 601, including Dual-SIM versions.
The owners of Desire 601 will receive a message notification once the update is available for their device, but you can also check for it manually by going to Settings->About Phone->Software Updates.
