How to Update Google Pixel XL to Android 7.1.2 Nougat Using ADB Sideload

  1. First, you need to setup the ADB and Fastboot drivers together with the Platform-Tools folder, to be able to connect your Google Pixel XL device with your PC using the USB cable.
  2. Download the Platform-Tools zip for Windows click here, for Mac OS from here, and for Linux from here. Unzip the contents, and save them on the system partition of your computer.
  3. Download from here and install the Google USB drivers too.
  4. Download from here the Android 7.1.2 NHG47K update archive file and once the download is completed rename the file to ‘’update.zip’’ to easily flash the new update file from your PC Command Prompt/Terminal window.
  5. Place the update.zip file to the Platform-Tools folder.
