Verizon Galaxy S5 Gets Android 4.4.4 OTA Update

Early this week numerous mmembers of the XDA Developers forum confirm that the Verizon Galaxy S5 is now receiving the new Android 4.4.4. Sprint company has also confirms that it will soon rolled out the same update for its Samsung Galaxy S5 model.

As you may know that the new Android 4.4.4 is started rolled out in phases, that’s means no all users will receive it in the same time. The new firmware update comes as an OTA one and you should be able to see a system update notification in the device’s notification bar. All that you need to do is to tap on it and then select “Download” and then press “Install now” after the new firmware is downloaded.

If the automatically system update notification failed to appear, you can make a manually verification for the new OTA update under Settings > About phone > System updates > Check now.

The new Samsung Galaxy S5 Android 4.4.4 update comes security framework, a better stability and new other improvements such as Pause video recording for the Camera application, an updated phone dialer with a new color scheme to “improve consistency and usability” and more. We are talking here about a small update, so you won’t expect any drastic changes once the new update is installed.

The new update for Samsung Galaxy S5 device comes as a 500 MB size file, and for that it is recommended to download it by using a stable WiFi connection.
