Xolo Q1010i Receives Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update

Xolo the Indian manufacturer has released the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for its Xolo Q1010i smartphone, that was been launched in April this year with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean onboard. The Android 4.4.2 KitKat update to Xolo Q1010i is around 300MB in size and is rolling-out OTA to users, or can also be manually downloaded from the Xolo software support website.

Users of XOLO Q1010i smartphone will receive along with the Android 4.4.2 the usual KitKat goodies like immersive mode, updated hangouts app with support for SMS/ MMS, performance improvements, cloud-print support, UI enhancements and more.

Launched at a price of Rs. 13,499 the Xolo Q1010i is a dual-SIM device and comes with a 5-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD IPS display, offers a pixel density of 294ppi and highlights One Glass Solution and Asahi Scratch Resistant Glass.

The Q1010i device is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6582)processor with Mali 400 GPU and 1GB of RAM. The Xolo Q1010i comes with 8GB of internal storage, expandable up to 32GB via microSD.
The Xolo Q1010i has an 8MP autofocus rear camera that emphasizes an Exmor R sensor with f/ 2.0 aperture, 5P lens module and 1.4 micron pixel size for enhanced image quality and a 2MP front-facing camera.
In terms of connectivity the Xolo Q1010i smartphone includes 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Micro-USB options. The device is dynamized by a 2250mAh battery which is set to give up to 19 hours of conversation time and up to 732 hours of standby time on 2G network.

If you do not want to wait for the over-the-air update, go to the Xolo website and manually download and install the update file following the given instructions to update your smartphone.
Xolo will also release Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for Q700s, Q1010 and Q3000 devices.
