The Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom, the first Android smartphone with 16 MP camera, is now receiving the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update.

The Android 4.4.2 update is at the moment pushed to the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom(SM-C101) users from Russia, a post on Sammobile reads. Though, it should not be too long before other Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom variants receive it as well.

The KitKat update for Galaxy S4 Zoom handsets is listed with the build number C101XXUBNF4, and it is being rolled out in phases, which means that not all Galaxy S4 Zoom users might be eligible to download and install it in the same time.

The Android 4.4.2 update for Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom adds the usual KitKat features and enhancements such as full screen album and movie art in the lock screen, white status bar icons, translucent navigation and status bars, immersive mode, cloud printing, color emoji support, new Location menu, along with stability, performance and battery improvements, enhanced Samsung Keyboard and updated Samsung apps.

When your Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom smartphone becomes suitable to receive the new Android 4.4.2-firmware update, your device should prompt you with a system update message in the notification area. Tap on the message, and follow the on-screen guidance. If you did not receive a system update notification, you can manually check for the update under Settings -> About phone -> Software updates -> Check for software updates.

Another option is to connect your device to a PC using the USB cable and check for the new firmware through Samsung KIES.
