Android 4.4.4 Soak Test Rolling Out for Sprint’s Moto X

The Android 4.4.4 update is now available for several Android-based devices, and now soak tests for Sprint Moto X Android 4.4.4 KitKat firmware has been started.

According to android police website, several users of the Motorola Feedback Network are reported that they received from Sprint soak test emails automatically notifications.

If you own a Moto X from Sprint and you are part of the Motorola Feedback Network, check your Moto X’s notification panel and see if there are new Android 4.4.4 KitKat files available for download.

The new Android 4.4.4 KitKat update for Moto X device adds security tweaks, several bug fixes, and better battery life.

Although you will not notice a significant difference from Android 4.4.3 to Android 4.4.4 but it is recommended for you to install this new firmware for your Moto X device.

The soak test will last probably several days so you should expect the official Android 4.4.4 firmware update to roll out by the end of this month.

As mentioned already, only if you are a member of the Motorola Feedback Network you will have the possibility to soak test the new Sprint Moto X Android 4.4.4 KitKat, but after the soak test will be OK, and there are positive feedback from Android 4.4.4 KitKat testers, the new firmware update would be released for all Moto X users.

If you are part of the Soak Test after you download the new ROM, make sure to test all of the new features and report back to Sprint and Motorola with any bugs that you might find while testing.

Once the new Android 4.4.4 update is available for your Sprint Moto X device you will receive a system update notification in your device’s notification panel.

All you need to do is to tap on it and follow the on-screen guidance. You can also perform periodically a manual check under Settings -> About phone -> Software updates -> Check now and see if the Android 4.4.4 is ready to be downloaded and installed on your device.
