Android 5.0.2 Lollipop Now Rolling Out for Nexus 10, OTA ZIP Goes Up for Download

Back in December, last year the Google released the latest Android 5.0.2 update for their Nexus 7 2012 Wi-Fi device. But owners of the 10 inch model were left out in the cloud, because no new update was released for their device.

Well, this week the much-expected new build seems to have finally made its way into the wild.

We told you earlier yesterday that the Google Nexus 7 2013 device has started received the new Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update and now it’s time for the Google Nexus 10 to receive the same firmware update.

As you might well know, in the case of such OTA (over-the-air) updates, they happen gradually so not all Nexus 10 devices will receive the new OTA update in the same time.

The new update isn’t a major update, so you shouldn’t expect any major enhancements other than bug fixes and improved system performance.

Once your device becomes eligible to receive the new firmware update you should see an automatically system update message in the device’s notification bar. All you should to do in order to install the new update is to tap on the message’s area and then follow the one-screen instructions.
You could also take the pro-active route and try checking under Settings > About device > System updates > Check now.

The new build is LRX22C, and even though we don’t have an official change log for it, we can see that it’s about 8 MB in size.

On top of that, if the manual check returns no results, we are glad to tell you that the newest Android 5.0.2 OTA ZIP file for Nexus 10 device is now available for download. You will be able to download this file from below.

Keep in mind that for installing the new stock Android 5.0.2 on your Nexus 10 device, it must run an official Android 5.0.1 LRX22G OS.

Have you received the Nexus 10 Android 5.0.2 OTA update on your device, or did you have to flash it manually? Please let us know in comments.
