Fire Phone from Amazon released few months ago with Fire OS 3.5. on board, a highly customized version of Android is now receiving a software update bringing the Fire OS to version 3.5.1.
The Fire OS 3.5.1 software update brings some new features and improvements.
If you own a Fire Phone smartphone after you install the new update, you will be able to create content or folders of apps right on the app grid or to bring a quick switch page with a double tap on the home button. Fire OS 3.5.1 also adds the capability to delete emails from the home screen or to pin applications to the front of the home carousel.
The new software update will now allow you create Lenticular photos using 11 still pictures instead of 3 or to share high-resolution videos via MMS or e-mail. Fire OS 3.5.1 also improves the battery life of your Fire Phone.
Once your Amazon Fire Phone device is ready to get the Fire OS 3.5.1 software update you should receive an update message in the notifications bar.
Alternatively you can check for the Fire OS 3.5.1 update manually under Settings -> Install system updates -> Check Now.
The new Fire OS 3.5.1 can be also installed manually after you download the update file on your computer. All you need to do after you download the file from here is to copy it on your Fire Phone’s using a USB cable.
Once copied open Quick Actions then go to Device and select Install System Update.
