You want to hide files from your friends, relatives or people that access your Android device? Of course, you can always put a lock specialist, but this will give others sense of distrust. If you like to have a convenient option to safeguard your files, you can use Andrognito.
The application can protect the various types of files by hiding them, even if your Android-based device is not rooted. You can hide files such as documents, pictures, videos, apps, compressed files and more.
After you install Andrognito, you can start hide your files once you create a PIN. Click the plus button (+) and select the files on your device or SD card that you want to be hidden. You can add an entire folder, and all its files will be hidden. To select individual files press and hold its thumbnail.
Hidden files are grouped by type and “All Files” tab allows you to view all hidden files. To view the file, tap the button with the padlock. The button with the star allows you to add the file to the favorites. The application does not require you to be on-line to work.
If someone demands to see what’s inside the Andrognito app, you can open it in Stealth Mode, where a false folder with some generic files you put there to mislead will be shown.
The application is protected with a PIN or password, and if someone try to guess your unlock code and err the password three times, after the third incorrect attempt, the app will be blocked for 15 minutes.
Moreover, if you want to uninstall the application, Andrognito deletes all the files therein, so if you want to quit using it, save your content elsewhere or simply unhide it if you do not want to loose it.
If you forget the password, it will be impossible to recover your files, so use the application with great caution.
The only way to ever recover the PIN if you forget is to answer the security question that will prompt you to specify when creating an account. To configure the security issue and allow the Stealth Mode of the app, go to settings. The Stealth Mode requires a separate code PIN to be created.
