HTC started the rollout of Android 4.4.3 KitKat update to its One M8 flagship in India, according to ‘n1234d,’ an Indian XDA developer forum member, owner of an HTC One M8.

n1234d posted on the forum the screen-shot of the Android 4.4.3 software update notification revealing that the new firmware will bring to HTC One M8 users the specific 4.4.3 KitKat improvements and fixes as well as OpenSSL security improvements, optimisations in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and mobile network.

The Android 4.4.3 will also come with updates to the applications including gallery (Image Match), camera, Settings (Power history) and a new version of HTC Sync Manager.

Moreover, as we can see from the screen-shot the software update will add HTC Sense UI optimisations and 4G-LTE support.

The Android 4.4.3 update for Indian HTC One M8 devices is version number 2.10.720.1 and weighs 659MB.

Normally, when a new update is ready for your device you should receive a system notification but if you own an HTC One M8 handset you can check for the availability of the update under Settings >> About >> Software updates.
If an update is not available, do not worry, because as usually the rollout occurs in stages, so not all users can download and install it at once.

As always, remember to use a stable Wi-Fi connection and make sure that your device’s battery is fully charged, in order to avoid unwanted interruptions during the installation process.
