It’s amazing news for Android users that the new  Android 4.4.2 KitKat update is now available to be downloaded and installed from Samsung Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7100 device by OTA. Those users who have not received the new update can use a manual method for updating.

However, the process entails risk, so users are advised to take the daya backup of your device . If the process comes to a sudden halt because of battery power is over, you may lose data files or even your phone may be damaged. Apart from that, you need to download and install a suitable USB drivers on your PC and the USB debugging mode should be enabled from the next patch: settings > developer options.

How to update the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Device To Android 4.4.2 KitKat update.

  1. Firstly, download and save the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update firmware from here.
  2. Secondly, extract the downloaded firmware file on your PC.
  3. Now, download the ODIN application from here and extract it on your PC.
  4. Open the ODIN app on your PC as an Administrator.
  5. Boot the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 into Download Mode.
  6. To do this, press and keep holding the Volume Down, Home and the Power buttons together until a warning prompt message is displayed on the screen.
  7. From Odin app, click AP button and select the file that contains the code in its name.
  8. From ODIN,select CP and chose the file with modem in its name.
  9. Select CSS and after that select the file that contain the CSSS in the file path
  10. Select PIT and chose the file that contain .pit as an extension.
  11. From the ODIN option sub- menu, verify whether the auto  reboot and reset times are cheeked.
  12. After that you need to be sure that the re-partition section is uncheck-ed.
  13. Click on Start  button from ODIN, and the installation process will begin.

And after some time your smartphone will have the desired update.
