Update Galaxy Note 3 LTE (Snapdragon 800) to Android 4.4.2 (N9005XXUGNG1)

The new Android 4.4.2 KitKat N9005XXUGNG1 update is now available for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 LTE device (SM-N9005) powered by a Snapdragon 800 CPU. The new firmware is currently available for devices from Italy and Nordic countries.

 How to update the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 LTE SM-N9005 to Android 4.4.2 N9005XXUGNG1

  1. Download Android 4.4.2 N9005XXUGNG1 firmware file save it on your computer and extract the same to obtain a .tar.md5 file.
  2. Download the Odin v3.09 file save it on your pc and extract the same to obtain the ODIN 3 v.3.09.exe file.
  3. Power off the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 device.
  4. Now, boot the device into Download Mode ( Press and keep holding the Home, Power and Volume Down buttons in the same time.
  5. Be sure that you have the USB Drivers flashed on your PC.
  6. Open the ODIN. exe file as an Administrator on your PC.
  7. Now, connect the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 device to the PC by using the USB cord while the device is in Download Mode.
  8. Once the ODIN recognizes the device the ID:COM box and the light blue with COM port number will be colored in light blue.
  9. Now, in ODIN app click on the AP button and from there select the firmware file that you’ve extracted before with the .tar.md5 extension on it.
  10. Now, ensure that the Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time checkboxes are enabled in ODIN’s UI.  Ensure that the Re-Partition check box is not selected.
  11. Now, verify once again all steps from below and click the Start button in ODIN software.
  12. The flashing process should start now and it will take a few minutes to be done.
  13. When the flashing process is done, the device will get a restart automatically.
  14. Once the home screen will be displayed on the device you can disconnect the device from the PC by removing the USB cable.

Congratulation, the new Android 4.4.2 KitKat N9005XXUGNG1 device is successfully installed on your Samsung Galaxy Note 3 LTE device.
