4 Unique Features of Samsung Galaxy S7 That You May Not Know

Samsung Galaxy S7 is one the best available smartphones. Analysts suggest that it’s even better than iPhone. It’s known for equipping its phones as many features as possible and this is true for Galaxy S7 and S7 edge. And some of these features are genuinely useful but we don’t know about it. Here, we have mentioned some of the lesser known features of your Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge.

# 1 Multi Window

Though this feature was already there in Samsung devices since Galaxy S3 time, but in Galaxy S7, Samsung has refined this feature and made it even more useful. Multi-window allows you to run two apps simultaneously in split screen view. You also have option to run multiple apps in one go through Pop Up feature about which we will discuss later.

How to use

a. Press and hold the Recent key to open recent apps.

b. Find the app you want to open and tap on two line icon. Selected app will move and appear into the top half of your screen and the list of your recent apps will be shown in the lower half portion of your smartphone. Out of this list, you can select the second app you want to run. When selected, the second app will be shown in the lower half portion of your smartphone. You also have the option to adjust size
both apps and decide how much screen they take. Now you can easily switch between apps and copy and paste content between them also.

# 2 Private Mode

It has a built-in privacy feature to hide your personal files, photos or any other information you don’t want to share with others.
Now, you don’t need to download any extra app to secure your personal data. Here is how to use.

Go to Settings>Privacy and safety> tap on Private mode

To set your private mode active you need to set a PIN, pattern or password. You can also use your fingerprint. In private mode, you
can hide any of your photos, documents, audios or videos files. Other than this private mode, nobody will be able to access your private files.

# 3 Sending SOS Messages

Like Private mode, there are other apps available for sending emergency messages to a contact but Samsung removed the need of download an app them by adding a built-in feature.

How to use

Go to Settings>Privacy and safety> tap on Send SOS messages. Now you can assign a contact to receive an emergency message. When you are done, all you have to do is press power button three times quickly to send an SOS message. There is also an option to take pictures from phone send it through the message.

# 4 Easy mode

This feature is for those who are not very familiar or new to smartphones, especially, elder people. Through this app, you can choose the apps to work on Easy mode.

How to use

Go to Settings>Easy mode. With this feature, you can safely hand over your phone to elderly folks who find it confusing.
